Keep Amsterdam’s best canal cruises running smoothly from behind the scenes. As an Operations Manager at Starboard Boats, you’ll make sure every element of the guest experience is polished, from the moment our boats leave the dock to the last wave goodbye.
Your role combines leadership, logistics, and hospitality. You’ll support our team of Skippers, Hosts, and Runners, ensuring they have what they need to deliver outstanding service every day. Whether you’re checking a boat’s condition, solving a last-minute issue, or planning tomorrow’s schedule, you’re the calm force behind the action, always one step ahead and ready to step in.

Tasks
- Overseeing day-to-day cruise operations
- Supporting Hosts, Skippers, and Runners throughout their shifts
- Checking boats for cleanliness, safety, and presentation
- Solving operational issues quickly and calmly
- Coordinating shift handovers and daily briefings
- Maintaining high hospitality standards and a positive team atmosphere
Profile
- Experienced in hospitality or tourism (operations or team management is a big plus)
- Strong communicator and natural problem solver
- Available to work on weekends and holidays
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
- Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure
- Based in or near Amsterdam
