Starboard Boats is looking for a hands-on Operations Specialist to lead our daily canal cruise operations in Amsterdam.
With a fleet of 11 boats and a team that takes pride in delivering a premium guest experience, we are looking for someone who takes full ownership of the day-to-day operation. You are the person who keeps the team sharp, the boats ready, and the service running smoothly.

Our team consists of Skippers, Hosts, Runners, and operations staff who work together to deliver smooth, safe, and enjoyable cruises every day. As Operations Specialist, you play a key role in making sure everything runs as it should.
Tasks
As Operations Specialist, you are responsible for the daily flow of our canal cruise operations.
Your tasks include:
- Checking the planning, weather, staff levels, and daily priorities.
- Coordinating Hosts, Skippers, and Runners during your shift.
- Setting clear expectations for the team.
- Checking that every boat is clean, safe, stocked, and guest-ready.
- Making decisions during your shift.
- Handling guest concerns and operational changes.
- Improving workflows, service quality, and team performance.
Profile
We are looking for someone who is practical, organized, and confident in a fast-moving environment.
You are:
- A true doer who takes action.
- Organized and calm under pressure.
- Experienced in hospitality, cruises, tourism, events, or a similar environment.
- A natural leader who creates structure.
- Guest-focused and service-minded.
- Comfortable taking ownership.
- Fluent in English.
- Flexible to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and changing shifts.
- Available to start as soon as possible.
